The story behind Emily’s Maids begins with a twist of fate, sparked by the closure of another cleaning service, Maid 2 Order. Back in 2010, while managing my own cleaning service, Dallas Maids, I encountered a struggling cleaning company and decided to offer them free leads to help them grow.

Our philosophy at Dallas Maids was simple: Compete on quality, not price. We focused on providing top-notch service and didn’t typically cater to budget-conscious customers. So, when faced with customers seeking lower prices, I redirected them to Maid 2 Order in an attempt to support a budding business.

From an excerpt of an email I had written the owner in 2011:

Not only will I will make sure you don’t go under, I’ll steer more business your way than otherwise. We receive 60 to 70 inquiries a week. The ones that decide not to use us due to price or whatever we’ll send to Maid 2 Order until you’re more than on your feet, you’ll be off running.

Unfortunately I would wrong – he would not be “off running”…

In the cleaning industry, the mantra “Charge what you are worth” is often heard. It’s a reminder that setting appropriate fees is crucial for sustaining operations. Maid 2 Order, however, tried to compete primarily on price, leading to their closure. Even though, I thought I would take a crack at this and explore the idea of creating a low-cost house cleaning service myself.

Armed with cost-saving strategies I learned during my years growing Dallas Maids, I launched Emily’s Personnel Service (aka Emily’s Maids) in 2011, initially offering incredibly low pricing. However, as time passed, I realized that maintaining rock-bottom prices compromised the quality of service we could provide. The adage “you get what you pay for” rang deafeningly true, and I refused to compromise on the standard of service we offered.

As a result, Emily’s Maids gradually adjusted its pricing to reflect the true value of the service provided. While this meant losing some leads initially, it was a necessary step to uphold our commitment to quality. Our pricing, while competitive, ensures that our customers receive exceptional service without sacrificing on standards.

While our prices may not be as low as they once were, it’s because we’re not interested in running a bottom-of-the-barrel cleaning service. Emily’s Maids strives to offer the best value in house cleaning in Dallas, providing a balance between affordability and quality. We’re proud to be the choice for customers who seek exceptional service at a fair price.

At Emily’s Maids, you’ll find competitive pricing without compromising on the quality of service. We believe in offering the best value for our customers, ensuring that your home shines without breaking the bank.
