About Emily's Maids: the Story Behind our Cleaning Service
Emily’s Maids began in 2011 after I discovered, through helping another business, the need for a cost-conscious cleaning service.
I own and operate a premiere house cleaning service in Dallas, complete with all the bells and whistles. I also know that some people wanted help but couldn’t quite afford it.
So, we started Emily’s Maids. What makes us special? Have a look!
How We Do It
We offer focused, excellent cleaning for the cost-conscious customer. Our services include several offerings including:
- Weekly and bi-weekly house standard cleaning with the same staff.
- One-time or occasional house cleaning.
- Move-in house move-out cleaning.
- AirBnB or short rental cleaning.
- Deep cleaning services.
- Special events or emergency cleaning (for when your in-laws let you know they’re surprising you with little notice)!
- Carpet cleaning or occasional and upholstery cleaning.
Our prices are the best in the area for the service we offer. You may find a lower cost team but it may not last long because of how they do business. So, let’s take a look at how Emily’s Maids works.
What We Do
- Emily’s Maids rely on satisfied customers’ referrals and search engine optimization to help cost-conscious customers find us – both of which are free.
- At Emily’s Maids, we refer internally through our local premiere cleaning service. As our sister company, Dallas Maids happily refers any potential customers to Emily’s Maids if the premiere cleaning cost is prohibitive. We like to make our customers happy and Emily’s Maids is a big part of that!
- We run lean. We offer reliable, excellent service but by having our sister company support some of the operational overhead, we can be a lean, mean, cleaning machine!
- We outsource some of our scheduling functions to international partners, this keeps prices low while maintaining a fast, responsive team.
- We leverage what we have learned. I have been in the cleaning business for two decades. Along that journey, I’ve made great decisions and some big mistakes too. Our experience allows us to stay focused on what works and our customers, eliminating the cost of pilot programs or other ideas that drive up prices. We happily offer affordable home cleaning to any potential customer. But we don’t cut corners either. Emily’s Maids is fully insured so if something goes wrong, you’re covered.

Who Cleans For You?
Our Dallas area cleaning team is stellar. We are extremely selective in who we hire. Only around 1-3% of total applicants make it onto our team! I believe having the right people on our team is core to us serving our customers.
We also hire legally. None of our employees is working for a “cash-only” wage or are independent contractors, both being illegal. They are full-or-part-time associates. Other services may offer cheaper home cleaning. Unfortunately, in most cases, this is accomplished by illegally hiring workers as independent contractors and/or paying cash. This allows some cheaper cleaning services to dodge paying taxes on payroll while also taking advantage of their workers.
We don’t do that here. We play by the rules but are scrappy, focused, and eager.

She has a sixth sense for solving problems before they even happen and somehow remembers every customer’s preferences like a cleaning wizard. Whether it’s calming a scheduling hiccup or motivating the team on a busy Monday, Jill handles it all with grace, grit, and a smile that says, “Don’t worry—I got this.”
Simply put, if Emily’s Maids had a superhero, it would be Jill. Cape not included… but honestly, it wouldn’t surprise us if she had one tucked away just in case.
